In the second inning, the Senators picked up right where they left off when Reggie Dixon singled to start the inning. Dixon then stole second and was advanced to third on a Schirtzinger double. Two batters later, Brown singled, scoring Dixon and moving Schirtzinger to third. Schirtzinger then scored on a wild pitch as Brown moved to second to make the score 6-0. Other than the Bianucci homerun, Tinsley mowed down hitter after hitter. He gave up only three hits and struck out 8 in seven innings of work. There were only a handful of balls hit hard off of Tinsley all day. This was his second straight solid outing as he shut out the Fauquier Gators last Tuesday. Tinsley moved to 2-0 on the year. Mike Genovese pitched the final two innings of the game, giving up two hits and striking out one.
For the Senators, Brown finished with three hits while Schirtzinger, Dixon, and catcher Adam Kuchemba all finished with two hits.
