The National Baseball Writers Association recently named former Senator and current Texas Tech Shortstop Cameron Blair third-team All American. Blair’s 17 homeruns were the most at his position. He finished the season hitting .363 with 17 doubles and 59 RBIs. He is the first Texas Tech player to earn All American honors in back to back seasons since 1999.
The Pittsburgh Pirates recently drafted Blair, who played for the Senators in 2002 and 2003, in the sixth round. After signing with the Pirates, Blair reported to Williamsburg in the New York- Penn League
