Five current or former Vienna Senators made the trip to Omaha, Nebraska to play in the College World Series for their respective schools.  Michael Rivera (Tennesee), Mark Hamilton (Tulane), Tim Guidry (Tulane), Tyler Kimmons (Tulane), and Nathan Southard (Tulane) made the trip to try and capture College Baseball’s biggest crown.  Below is a profile of each player:

            Michael Rivera, 2B- Rivera is on the 2005 Senator roster and will be reporting to the Senators soon because Tennessee recently got eliminated from CWS.  Rivera had two hits in the elimination game.  For the season, Rivera hit .331 and drove in 42 runs while starting 67 games.

            Mark Hamilton, INF- Hamilton played for the Senators in 2003 and has had quite a postseason for the Green Wave.  He was named Most Outstanding Player of the New Orleans Regional and was also named to the All Tournament Team.  For the Season, Hamilton hit .314 with 10 homeruns and 44 RBIs.

            Nathan Southard, OF- Southard played for the Senators in 2003 and has had a big year for the Green Wave.  He was named First Team All Conference USA while also being named to the All Tournament team in the New Orleans Regional.  Southard also collected the Most Oustanding Player Award for his performances in the Conference USA tournament.  For the season, Southard hit .347 with 12 homeruns and 53 RBI.

            Tim Guidry, INF- Guidry is on the 2005 Senator roster.  He only played in one game for Tulane this past season because of injuries.  He will likely be red shirted.  For the season, Guidry was 1-3 and drove in two runs.

            Tyler Kimmons, P- Kimmons is on the 2005 Senator roster. He did not appear in any games for Tulane this season because of arm problems.  He is now healthy and may be used in the CWS.
