June 3, 2006. Vienna, VA. After 8 innings of play, the Gators and Senators were held at five runs each. Nate Newman contributed with his first home run of the season. Neither team was able to bring in any runs in the 9th, thus forcing the game into extra innings. In the 11th, the Gators took lead with runs scored off of hits from Campbell and Smith.
Senator starting pitcher Dave Kellerberg went for 4 innings, Garrett Smith for 3, Zach Tritz for 1, Mason Griffin for 1, and Jake Bruton for 1.
