June 23, 2006. Vienna, VA. The Vienna Senators defeated the visiting Fauquier Gators, 6-2, to claim their 11th Clark C. Griffith Collegiate Baseball League (CGL) victory in 12 games at Waters Field in Vienna on Friday night.

Third baseban Tim Guidry (Tulane University) continued his hot
hitting, going 4-for-5 with three RBIs to pace a Vienna offense that
produced 13 hits off four Fauquier pitchers. Guidry had seven hits
over the past two games. Sam Cunningham (Emory University) added
three hits and two RBIs and catcher Chris Berset (University of
Michigan) had two hits for the Senators.

Travis Spencer (Grayson County College) went 3.1 innings to pick up
the victory after coming on in the fifth for starter Adam
Olbrychowski (Pepperdine University), who allowed two runs on four
hits while striking out seven. Mason Griffin (Grayson) threw a
hitless ninth to close things out for Vienna.

The Senators (12-3) have now taken three of five from the Gators and
take a 2.5 game lead on Fauquier (9-6) and the Herndon Braves (9-6)
in the CGL standings.
