Gators 5, Senators 1

June 13, 2006. Fauquier, VA. Early defensive miscues cost the Senators tonight in a 5-1 setback at the hand of the Fauquier Gators at Fauquier High School.

A third-inning balk by Senators starter Nate Duhe (LSU-Eunice) plated one run and Vienna errors in the fifth and sixth innings led to two more as the Gators improved their league-leading record to 8-2.

Duhe took the loss after allowing four runs (one earned) on five hits over 5.1 innings. Right fielder Xavier Qualls (Southeastern Louisiana University) had two of the Senators’ three hits on the night.
